A bet that has already been submitted to the market but is still waiting to be matched can be modified using the Modify Bet window.

This window is very similar to the bet placement window and allows you to modify all bet parameters: stake, odds, persistence, and Back or Lay side.

The modification is handled in such a way as to preserve the bet's position in the order book whenever possible. The following situations may occur:

• If the modification includes a change in odds or side (Back / Lay), the existing bet is cancelled and a new one is created, resulting in the loss of any priority previously acquired at that price level.
• If only the persistence is changed, the bet's persistence is modified without changing its ID and therefore without losing its priority.
• If only the stake is changed, there are two possible situations:
  - Stake increase: a new bet is created for the additional amount, and this portion will have the priority of a new bet.
  - Stake decrease: the stake of the existing bet is reduced without losing its priority in the order book.
