Home BETTING TOOLKIT USER GUIDE Options Ladder Settings
The settings in this section concern the ladder table of the market window. The following options can be specified:
Coloring available Back / Lay: you can choose the ways to color the background of the cells with values available in the book. Three different coloring modes are available::
Ladder Cell Width, Ladder Cell Height: you can set the size of the cells to optimize visibility.
Left ladder chart: it is possible to indicate whether to display the graph, its width and whether or not to show the probability percentages corresponding to the odds. Furthermore, it is possible to select two types of graph:
- Odds matched
- Candlestick
Behavior at market opening: indicates the operation of the program when a market window opens in relation to the order of the selections, the presence or absence of the stake buttons and the graph.
Selection name:
in the drop-down box that controls the choice of ladder selection it is possible to display the following data or not:
- number of matched / unmatched bets
- progressive selection number in the Betfair ordering system.
Volumes
It is possible to make the following choices regarding the traded volumes:
- Show volumes column: the volumes column can be deactivated if you want to have a more compact ladder.
- Show volumes in percentage: allows you to view the volumes expressed as a percentage of the entire amount traded for that side of the book. Volumes are normally expressed as the absolute amount traded.
- Highlight recent volumes in histogram: indicates whether to color recent volumes differently and the time that identifies when a traded volume should be considered recent.
Maximum number of ladders
This option allows you to set a limit on the maximum number of ladders that are added to a market window. The number of selections in a market can also be high (over 20). While in the grid all the selections are visible because they are represented by rows, the number of ladders visible on the monitor depends on the size of your screen and the number of data set to be visible on each individual ladder. Furthermore, a reduced number of ladders can improve performances. It is therefore recommended to leave this number unchanged at the default value (3) except for particular needs or particularly large screens.
Show estimated position in queue (PIQ) column: you can activate or deactivate this column depending on its use and the desired compactness.
Show stop loss placement odds: indicates whether to also show the relevant placement quota together with the stop losses (activation quota).
Highlight betting areas cell on mouseover: by selecting this option the ladder cell under the mouse pointer will be highlighted to avoid any possible clicking errors.
Show bet summary on mouseover: if activated, this option will show a preview of what happens if you click on a cell to carry out a trading operation.
Highlights the best back price / best lay price at the start of the game: if this data is available, it will be shown with a highlighting of the relevant cells.
Auto-center ladder every 10 seconds: if this option is activated, the ladder will be progressively centered to show the odds as the trading zone moves on the book. This operation is not performed if the mouse is on the ladder to prevent clicking on unwanted cells by preventing the odds from moving while the trader clicks to carry out the operation.
Show vertical map of complete book: indicates whether or not the vertical map on the left of the book will be shown.
Place Back bet by clicking on the left of the odds column: by selecting this option the back bet will be carried out by clicking on the odds available to bet (column to the left of the odds) and the lay bet operation by clicking on the odds available to lay (column to the right of the odds) .
If this box is unselected (the default case) the behavior of the software is that you place back bet by clicking on the right of the odds column or by associating with the odds available to lay, and you lay by clicking on the left of the odds column or by associating with the odds available to back .
Number of book odds to consider to evaluate the market trend: indicates the number of odds to consider to evaluate the weight of the back book compared to the lay book.
