Markets Filter

Updated on 2024-07-25

The Market Filter is an incredibly powerful function in Betting Toolkit that allows you to filter the entire range of Betfair sports events with just a few clicks based on your desired parameters.

At the top, a Menu allows you to select the Sport and some predefined filters.

The window is divided into two pages: one dedicated to market searching, called Selector, and another dedicated to managing Favorites.

In the Selector page, on the left side, there are three sections where you can select Countries, Competitions, and Market Types.
The filtering system works sequentially: first, you select the sport; then, by clicking on one or more Countries, Betting Toolkit will show the relevant Competitions and, for each competition, the available Market Types. Using the “All” button, you can select all available elements at once, while the “None” button allows you to deselect them all.
Applying these initial filters, Betting Toolkit will instantly display the resulting events in the central table, providing for each: country, time, whether it is live or not with minutes remaining if less than 1 hour, the event name, competition type, market, and how much money has been matched so far. The event list can be further refined with all the available options at the top.

Naturally, in addition to filtering by sport type, you can choose to display events based on a time criterion: you can immediately see events starting in the next 2 hours, the next 6 hours, or all events of the day. You can go further to view all events of the following day, the next 7 days, or the entire schedule by selecting the “Any” option.

With the “Market Availability” options, you can choose events that will be available in live and pre-match, those available only in pre-match, or both types.
With the “In Play” options, choosing “Yes” will show live events, “No” will show events that are yet to start, while “Both” will show all.

Thanks to the “My Bets” option, you can immediately view in the table the list of all markets where you have already placed bets. Finally, the “Matched Volume” option allows you to prioritize markets with the highest trading volume. It is always possible to sort the results based on various fields by clicking on the column headers.

Through the button bar, you can perform the following operations:

  • Open the market window (by double-clicking on a specific market row listed in the table or pressing the “Open Market” button)
  • Add one or more markets to Favorites
  • Add one or more markets to the Markets Monitor
  • Access the Markets Monitor
  • Select or deselect all rows.

Filtering Countries by Continent
Through the Countries Filter menu, you can select all countries within a specific geographical area. If the "Add" option is activated, selecting subsequent areas will add the countries from the area to those already selected; otherwise, only the markets from that area will be selected, and all others will be deselected.

Selections Filter
Another feature of the Markets Filter is the ability to impose filters on the odds values of market selections, selecting only markets that contain one or two selections meeting specific criteria regarding:
- the traded volume of the selection
- the best back odds
- the best lay odds
- the last traded odds
The Selections Filter is set in the dedicated window accessed via the homonym button. When a selection filter is active, it operates in addition to the options selected in the Markets Filter. The presence of an active selection filter is indicated by the color of the button in the "Markets Filter" window. To disable the selection filter, simply go to the filter settings window and press the "Disable All" button or right-click on "Selection Filter" in the "Market Filter" window.

Favorites
In the Favorites page, the markets that have been assigned to this list are collected. Each sport has its own list and you can export or import a favorites list.
